What is a Prosthodontist?

Prosthodontists are dental specialists who perform a wide variety of procedures involving the restoration and replacement of teeth — everything from crowns and bridges, to the restoration of dental implants.  A prosthodontist's education involves several years of additional training after dental school as well as continuing education to keep up with the advances in technologies and techniques.

As a prosthodontic practice, we offer a wide range of treatments that affect both the form and function of your smile. We treat patients who are missing one or two teeth, to patients who require full mouth reconstruction. We work with other doctors to treat patients with birth defects (such as a cleft palate). We work with patients who have jaw joint disorders, and those with cancer or trauma injuries who require complex rehabilitation.

We work with your family dentist and with other specialists, when necessary, to provide the best possible treatment. Open, two-way communication is essential to successful treatment and we encourage your questions every step of the way on your journey to a healthy, vibrant smile.
